Fed: Aust new vehicle sales fall 2.7pc in December - ABS
Official figures show new motor vehicle sales fell 2.7 per cent in November, draggeddown by a big drop in sales of trucks, vans and utes.
But on seasonally adjusted figures, the Australian Bureau of Statistics says new vehiclesales are still 4.7 per cent higher than at the same time last year.
Passenger vehicle sales have fallen 0.7 per cent in the month, while other vehiclesales have fallen 6.2 per cent.
Vehicle sales have risen strongly in Tasmania and the Northern Territory and moderatelyin Victoria, but have fallen in all other states.
Queensland has had the biggest fall -- 7.5 per cent.
